Title: Post Election – What Now God?
Following a political election season, we need God to re-fill us with His Spirit and set our eyes on His sovereignty and will.
Moving forward in post-election times.
· Trust in God’s Sovereignty.
Colossians 1:16-17 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
· Embrace Unity and Love.
Ephesians 4:2-3 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
John 13:34-35 ESV A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
· Commit to Civic Responsibility.
Jeremiah 29:4-7
· Pray for Leaders and the Nation.
1 Timothy 2:1-6
· Look Forward with Hope.
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 40:28-31

* Share with each other in your family or group how your calling as a Christian can shine more brightly as we move forward past this election season.
* Read Matthew 5: 13-16. What is Jesus saying in this passage? What are the key truths? List them! What difference will all of this make? What will need to change in your life to truly live as Jesus is calling you to live from this passage?
* Read Isaiah 45:1-13. What are your general thoughts after reading this passage? Who is Cyrus? What is Cyrus’s role? Who is in charge? What does God want to accomplish? How does God use people today who do not know Him to still accomplish God’s will?
Read Colossians 1:16-17. In what ways do you trust the sovereignty of God? How can you grow to trust His ultimate outcome more?
* Read Ephesians 4:1-4. How can this passage be true in your life in this post-election and moving forward. What are the stumbling blocks that make you struggle to truly live this way? How have you seen growth in your walk as a Christian?
* Read 1 Timothy 2:1-6. What is challenging in this passage for you? As a group, or individually, make a list of all the newly elected leaders and begin to pray for each by name. Continue to pray for each other as you live for Christ every day.
