Title: Learning to See Clearly – Part 2 of 2
- What is one thing you would desire from God in your life in 2020?
- Review again our church’s focus to connect our community to Jesus and each other. How can you tangibly act on this focus? Share with the group your ideas. Listen and encourage one another in their ideas.
- Read John 2:1-12. This is the first experience for the new followers of Jesus. What do you think they learned about themselves and about Jesus? In vs. 11, it says they believed in Him. What do you think they believed? Why? Discuss the importance of obedience in this passage in order to have greater spiritual clarity.
- This week we begin 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Go to www.ctkcharlotte.org/events and click on 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. How can this daily discipline of Scripture and prayer help you have greater spiritual clarity for every aspect of your life?
- Fasting is denying ourselves something, which then opens, in a more sensitive way, our need for God and therefore our ability to hear His voice. Share with each other your experiences with fasting to hear God or your anticipation of doing it for the first time. Encourage each other. (There are additional materials on fasting on the CtK website.)
- Review the message notes from January 12 on your mobile app or CtK website. Listed are seven ways we can grow in hearing God and have spiritual clarity to His will and way. Review these seven and select a few that you have time to discuss. Read the Scriptures that go along with them. How can you apply these to your life?
- Gather in smaller groups and pray for each other.
