Living Blessed in the Body of Christ
- Do you consider yourself a sinner? Why or why not? How do you feel about God’s judgment of your life? Do you feel you deserve to be judged? What feelings come to mind? Why would God forgive you if you are a sinner?
- Read Romans 3:22-26, 5:1-2, 6:5-7, and 8:1-2
Explain how through these passages you are forgiven and made new. How is it that God is for you and others? Why does God forgive you? Where does faith come into this forgiveness?
- Read Romans 8:37-39 and 12:1-2
God’s love is unconditional, it chases after us. Why would God say nothing would separate us from the love of Christ, even death!? How does this make you feel? Is this a license then to continue to sin and go against His will? Why or why not? How is that good news for you and for others? As a response to God’s unfailing love, sacrifice, and mercy what are you supposed to do now with this? How do you intend to live this out?
- Read Romans 15:1-7, 14-16
What does this passage say about what we are to do as believers? How do you build up your “neighbor?” What concrete examples do you have? How does scripture teach your life?
- What is your calling in life to do as a Christian? What does it mean for you to be a minister for Christ? How do you do this to your family, friends, neighbors, and community?
- What is it you have hope in? How does your hope in Christ strengthen you? How do you share this hope with others?
- Read Romans 16:17-20
How does the world try to draw you away from the truth of the gospel? How do you stay strong in the gospel and what you do to grow stronger in your faith?
- What will you do now because of a better understanding of the book of Romans? What do you want others to know?
