Title: Share What You Know
Acts 1:6-8
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
1) Receive the Holy Spirit.
2) Holy Spirit gives power.
3) Witness and see results!
Matthew 28:16-20 – The Great Commission
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Discipleship – The process of helping someone be more like Jesus.
1) Read Scripture.
2) Pray together.
3) Discipline in light of the Gospel.

Family/Study Group Notes for May 14, 2023
Series: So Now What?
Title: Share What You Know
- Read Matthew 28:16-20. The disciples overcame their doubts about the resurrection. What doubts do you still have that are barriers from doing what God is asking of you? Do you know what God is asking you to do? If so, share that with others in your group. If you do not, what is your next step to find out God’s calling on your life?
-
In what ways do you feel like you’ve been standing on the sidelines with your faith? What do you need to confess to God to be able to truly step into this commission He’s called you to in Mathew 28.
-
Read Deuteronomy 6:6-9. If you are a parent, how have you integrated spiritual teaching into your daily rhythms? How can you be more intentional to lead spiritually in your home? What is one thing that you can implement this week to disciple your family?
- The disciples wanted to know what the future looked like, but Jesus encouraged them to live in the present, not worrying what was to come. What fears do you have of the future? What are practical steps you can take right now in the present to say ‘yes’ to Jesus?
-
Gather with those in your group or family and pray for each other. Pray for boldness and courage to disciple those around you.
