Series: A Tour of Ephesians – The Walls Will Fall
Title: Seeing Jesus Everywhere (Actions Defined)
The rhythm of everything we do begins to look like Jesus and the Church. It is a relationship that models eternity and everyday life.
Text: Ephesians 4:22-6:9
Living into our new life in Christ comes through:
• The Holy Spirit convicting and empowering.
Ephesians 4:22-24 Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
• Imitating God in everything we do.
Ephesians 5:1 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
• Considering what pleases Jesus.
Ephesians 5:10-17 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them….17 Don’t act thought-lessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
• Learning the art of submission.
Ephesians 5:21 And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Title: Seeing Jesus Everywhere (Actions Defined)
- How would you describe your life being different because you follow Jesus? What things did you used to do that you no longer do because it would not be pleasing to God? What things do you now do that you used to not do because you are thankful of salvation and want to please Jesus?
- Read Ephesians chapter 4 17- chapter 6:9. Make a list of the things Paul says should change because we now follow Jesus.
- Make a list of the new things we should add or do in our lives because we follow Jesus? What of this list stands out to you the most? Why?
- Of this section of Scripture, identify the verses that speak of the Holy Spirit. What does Paul say about the work of the Holy Spirit? What does the Holy Spirit help you do or not do? How do you want to treat the Holy Spirit?
- From Chapter 5 vs. 1, how could you increase your imitation of Christ? What would that look like on a daily basis?
- Who does Paul say has no inheritance in the Kingdom of God?
- Why does Paul emphasize that we should walk wisely because the days are evil?
- In Chapter 5:18-21, what does being filled with the Spirit help you do? Why is that important?
- What kind of Jesus character is built within us when we submit to one another out of reverence for Christ?
- Gather with each other and pray for your walks with Jesus, that they may be intentional and fruitful.
