Title: Face to Face With Our Kids
- What form of communication do you prefer? How does your communication differ depending on who you are communicating with?
- What was communication like in your home growing up? How has that communication been helpful or limiting in your ability to communicate with others now?
- Read Hebrews 10:24-25. What is Paul encouraging in this passage. Why? How have face to face gatherings in your community group helped you grow in your relationship with Christ? How has it made your relationships with each other more real, being known and knowing others?
- What do you think keeps people from being a part of community groups and face to face sharing? What can you and your group do to help break down those barriers and include them in your group?
- Read Matthew 19: 13-14. What is going on in this passage? What cultural barriers kept these children from Jesus? Why do you think people were trying to break these barriers to get these children face to face with Jesus?
- If you have children, what can you give them face to face that you can’t give them in any other way?
- Jesus did not have children so why did he love to spend time with children? What can spending time helping children teach you?
- Read 1 Corinthians 13:12. To fully know God would be an awesome thing. In the beginning God walked in the cool of the evening with Adam and Eve. In the book of Revelations it says that we will see God face to face. What do you think it would be like to see God face to face? What would change about your day if you knew you got to end the day with a walk with Jesus? Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit so we can truly walk with Jesus 24/7. Are you taking advantage of God’s constant availability for you?
- How do you want to be more fully known by your friends and family?
- Gather in smaller groups and pray for each other.
