Talk about your favorite childhood memory of Easter. What Easter traditions do you currently observe? What do they mean to you?
Read John 20:1-18. What gets your attention the most in this passage? Why? What do you think Peter and John were pondering as they looked at the grave clothes?
What is the evidence that Mary’s perception of Jesus was too small? How does this affect you seeing Jesus?
Jesus says to us to seek and you will find. In this case, Jesus found Mary because she was incapable of seeing or finding Him. How did seeking put her in that position? In what ways can you put yourself in position to encounter Jesus?
Read 1 Corinthians 15:1-8. How is Christianity not a blind faith, but based in reason, rationality, proof and eyewitnesses?
In what area of your life does Jesus’ resurrection represent an opportunity for you to begin again? What is one thing you can do to begin that process? What support do you need?
