Title: Christian Values and Voting
Voting is a part of Christian responsibility and must be carried out in prayer, discernment, awareness and grace.
Living like Jesus in an un-Christian world!
· See the person!
John 9: 1-38
Mark 12:30-31 ESV And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
· Embrace your calling!
1 Peter 2:9-16
· Hold to faith!
Hebrews 11:1 NLT Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
1 Corinthians 15: 24-26
· Prepare and listen!
Proverbs 11:14 ESV Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
Romans 8:6-8 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
· Pray!
1 Timothy 2:1-4 ESV First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
