Series: The Faithfulness of God
Title: God’s Faithfulness Meets Us In Our Need
- God’s faithfulness meets us in our need.
- Psalm 34:15-20
- Romans 8:26-28
- Job 38:4
- Colossians 1:19-20 “For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”
- Cultivate Affection
a. Refuse to remove yourself from the presence of God (and the things he cherishes)
b. Receive regular reminders of God’s love for you.
c. Reflect on how your daily rituals are shaping your affections.
d. Reflect on where God has been faithful in your life. - C.S. Lewis wrote, “we are far too easily pleased by lesser things.”
- Even when we are in a dark spot God is there, amid abuse God Is there and he will redeem and reconcile everything to himself. The story of what God is doing is as old as creation: to reconcile all things to himself through Christ.
- He is faithful because the blood of Christ is not a one-and-done thing, it is ongoing carrying throughout all eternity.

Title: God’s Faithfulness Meets Us In Our Need
- What does faithfulness mean? What or who has been faithful in your life? What is the evidence of faithfulness?
- How has God been faithful in your life in the past? How is God faithful in your life now? If you don’t think He has been faithful in your life, why not?
- Read Psalm 34:15-20. What does this passage say about God’s provision for us? If our faith is not strong does he still hear us? Why or why not? How does God deliver us from our troubles or needs?
- Christians still may struggle with abuse, neglect, hunger, etc.… What is God’s promise amid these struggles?
- Read Romans 8:26-28. How does God, amid our struggle, use our struggles for His good? What is the difference between what we think is our good and what God’s good is? What does it mean for you to understand even when you don’t know what to pray for, God still hears and understands what you are trying to say? What does this do for you?
- What does it mean to Cultivate Affection? How is this a reminder of God’s faithfulness for us in need? What do you need to do better at to be reminded of/experience God’s faithfulness in your time of need?a. Refuse to remove yourself from the presence of God (and the things he cherishes)
