-
Read Isaiah 59:2. What does this passage say to you? How does our sin separate us from each other? How does it affect how we understand each other? How does our sin keep us from experiencing God’s best for us?
-
Read 1 John 1:5-10. How does this passage define God? How does the passage show the difference between God and us? What are the promises in this passage? What are the commands in the passage? How do the commands lead to life-giving relationships?
-
Forgiveness is a central theme of the Bible. Why is God so passionate about forgiveness? Read Mark 11:25. What is this passage saying to you? Read Matthew 6:9-13. What does the “Lord’s Prayer” say about forgiveness? How does this passage express God’s heart for forgiving?
-
Read James 5:13-16. What are the promises in this passage? How would you apply this passage today? How would praying for the ability to forgive bring healing to you or others?
-
How would forgiveness bring healing in families, racial groups and communities?
-
Gather in smaller groups and pray for each other in your ability to forgive and receive healing.
