Main Point: God wants to speak to you, are you going to listen? 

Good news, it’s your birthright to hear God’s voice!

John 10:27 “My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

How does God speak? Through:
1. His Word
2. His people
3. His Son
4. His Spirit 

How can I listen to God?
1. Make time
2. Be still
3. Expect Him to speak
4. Accept His words
5. Do what He says

God desires to speak to you, it’s your birthright! How will you make space to listen?

Title: How to Hear God with Your Whole Heart

  Why does it seem hard to hear God’s voice?

  Who is someone close to you who you could pick out their voice in a crowd? How
did you learn to do that? Do you feel you could pick out God’s voice when your
mind is crowded?

  Do you struggle to get quiet, or calm your mind? What helps?

  Read John 10:27. What’s the good news in that verse? How does that impact
your relationship with Jesus?

 In your prayer life how much of it is talking to God and how much of it is listening
to God?

 How have you heard/seen God before? How did you know it was God?

 What keeps you from making space to listen to God?

 Under the section of your notes “How can I listen to God?” What is one thing
from that list you can implement this week?

 Take a moment to pray and listen to God. You can ask him questions such as
“God, what’s my next step with you?” “God, who is someone I know that needs a
blessing?” “God, how do you want me to respond to this situation I’m going
through?” Then wait, expecting Him to speak to you through a thought, bible
verse, person, encounter, or more!

 Test it to make sure it aligns with God’s word and character.
