 How do you see the relevance of the church in the lives of people today? Has it grown or
lessened over the years? What would it take for the church to be more central in peoples’ lives and communities?

 Do you think people who actively attend church, are more or less generous than people who
don’t? Why?

 If the church in America did not exist, what would our families and communities look like? What
has been your role in making sure the church is funded, relevant and life-changing for people?
What is God saying to you?

 Read Luke 16:1-13. What is this passage about? Why do you think Jesus would tell this story?
Who do you relate to in the story?

 In this passage, Jesus is passionate about winning “friends” to heaven. How could you be a part
of that? What do you think it will be like to get to heaven and see people who welcome you
because you helped them know Jesus? What would need to change in your daily practice to
have an eternal impact in the lives of others?
