Title: God – You allow people to go to hell!
Different views of where moral truth derive, affects our perspective of judgment and hell.
God is a God of both justice and love.
A God of love will pursue me, rescue me and die for me.
A God of justice makes things right for me and removes from my hands the need to make everything right.
Where does hell fit with a God of love and justice?
- Cultural view
- Biblical view
Fire both purifies and disintegrates
Purifies:
Malachi 3:3, Matthew 3:11
Disintegrates:
Jude 1:7. Mark 9:43
A disintegrating fire happens step by step.
FIRST: The greater need for more, apart from God.
James 1:14-15
SECOND: Isolation and self-justification.
Luke 16:19-31
God is not guilty of casting people into hell!
Romans 1:24-25. John 10:10, 1 Peter 3:9-10
God’s Good News for us.
Romans 5:8-9 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
