Title: Jesus As Healer
Jesus as Healer
Matthew 4:23-25 And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. 24 So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them. 25 And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.
Mark 6:56
1 Peter 2:24 He (Jesus) himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Isaiah 53:3-5
Matthew 11:4-5
* The first coming of Jesus was to purchase our redemption through His death on the cross. It was to give us a preview of the physical and spiritual nature of our redemption.
Revelation 21:1-4
Romans 8: 22-23 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Romans 8:35-39
What can we expect:
1. All forgiveness and healing will come.
Romans 5:3-5
2. Forgiveness and healing are happening now.
1 John 1:9, 1 Peter 5:7, Isaiah 43:1-3
Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
