Christ’s Challenge: Luke 17:33 — What will your response to this be?
STUDY QUESTIONS:
Do most people you know believe in life after death?
Have you always believed in the final resurrection of Christians? Why or why not? What led you to that belief?
Read 1 Corinthians 15:35-43. What questions did Paul address here? What illustrations did he give to teach about resurrected bodies? How does this help you understand the resurrection?
Read 1 Corinthians 15:44-50 (reference Romans 5:17-18). What hope does this give you for the spiritual life to come?
Read 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 (reference 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17). What are some “perishable” things in your life that you are eager to see removed in your eternal self (e.g., sickness, pain, loss)?
How did Christ take the sting of death upon himself? How will the resurrection of all Christians be like Christ’s?
Where do you struggle to live into your “resurrected” or “baptized” life now? Where is God inviting you to live for eternal things rather than temporal things?
Who can you ask this week, “What do you believe happens after we die?” Listen to and explore their beliefs, then lovingly share your resurrection hope in Christ with them.
Have you invited someone unchurched to join you at the Charlotte Crusade this Friday, Sept 20th, at 7 p.m. at Bojangles Coliseum?
