Title: Gifts for All

As a believer the Holy Spirit has graced everyone with gifts that matter to the whole body. Discover your gift and steward it to the fullest.

Text: 1 Corinthians Chapter 12

The Holy Spirit leads us under the Lordship of Jesus.

Understanding Spiritual Gifts!

· First – All gifts come from the Holy Spirit of God

· Second – All gifts are for the common good

· Third – God chooses our gifts

· Fourth- Spiritual gifts are for the building up of the body

· Fifth – Spiritual gifts are essentially interdependent

· Sixth – Spiritual gifts are what started and maintains the Body of Christ on earth

Family/Group Study Notes for the week of August 4, 2024

Series: Influencers

Title: Gifts for All 

* Acts 2:1-18 describes the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon believers in this age. How do you see this outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the world today? Read and discuss.

* Gather with your group or family and read 1 Corinthians chapter 12. Each person takes a moment to write down two or three key points that stand out for each. Share these with each other and why.

* In the first few verses of Chapter 12, Paul speaks of influence. How does the Holy Spirit influence us to live under the authority of Christ? How do you know or see the difference of influence in your life and the lives of others? How can you recognize the Holy Spirit’s influence?

* Make a listing of the spiritual gifts identified in 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:11-13, Romans 12:4-8 and 1 Peter 4:10-11.

* In these passages, describe the benefit of these gifts for the building up of the people of God. Take a moment to consider each gift mentioned and share how that particular gift would benefit you and the church.

* Share with each other how you see different gifts being offered up in your church that help the church be a dynamic mission for Christ. Describe to the group the ways you see your gifts being utilized in the church. If your gifts are not currently being utilized in the church, what are your next steps to discovering your gifts and putting them into practice?

* Gather with your family/group and pray for each other and the maturing of your gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ.
