Family/Group Study Notes for November 14, 2021
Series: Life Complete; Title: Encouragement
* What is worship? Why do people come together to worship? Barring health reasons, why do you or don’t you come to worship? What do you hope to get out of it? Does worship affect you? If so, how? If it doesn’t why don’t you think so?
* We are called to publicly worship – what has stopped you or decreased your participation over the last two years? How do you feel about this?
* What do you think about the health benefits from public worship? Why do you think most indicators are that people are healthier physically, spiritually, and emotionally from participating in public worship? What does this mean for you?
* Read Hebrews 10:19-25. How is public worship different from private worship (which God does call us to do too)? What does meeting together do for us as people and a community? Read 1 Corinthians 12. What does this passage say about what happens when we miss people in our community? How are we supposed to grow stronger in community?
* How are we called to spur each other on? How do you grow through participation in the life of the parish?
* What does “Faithful Prescence” mean? How are you faithfully present in your faith life? Is it well rounded? How does community, formation and mission help you in being faithfully present? What area are you strong in and why? What do you need to improve in and how are you going to do that?
* As you look at your participation at CtK (or your church you belong to) how can you grow deeper as a disciple of Christ to be able to connect more to others and our community?
