- Look up some pictures of the Mount of Olives, what fascinates you?
- Read Matthew 24:3-8,42-44 when Jesus taught on the Mount of Olives. What are some themes in his teaching? How do Christ’s teachings of the end times help us now? When things get hard to discern, how can you look to Christ’s teachings?
- Read Mattew 26:36-41 when Jesus prayed on the Mount of Olives. What symbolic “mountains” or places can you go to pray? Where can you go when you are worried, stressed, or afraid to help you enter God’s presence?
- Read Zechariah 14:4. What questions about Christ’s return do you have?
- Close with Luke 21:34-37. What are the commands Christ gives? What commands are challenging for you?
