Title: Pathway Through Trials – Psalm 27
- What are some trials you are experiencing right now? How are you experiencing God’s presence in the midst of these trials? If not, how are you walking through them?
- Read John 14:6. What does this passage mean to you? What does Jesus want us to know? How could this passage influence your life? What would it take for you to have this word from God be relevant for you?
- Read Philippians 4:6-7. What is Paul saying in this passage about God? What would it be like not to be anxious about anything? What would you need to know for that to happen? How could God’s peace be a guard for your heart?
- Read 1 Peter 5:6-7. What is Peter wanting you to know about God in this passage? What does he want you to understand about yourself? What does he want you to do? What difference would that make?
- Read Psalm 27. In the midst of trials and uncertain pathways, what would it mean for God to be a light and a stronghold?
- Why do you think, of all that David could ask God for in times of trial, that he would ask simply to be in the presence of God? What would be your one thing? If your one thing was to have God near you all the time, what difference would that make in life?
- Have you ever doubted that God was near or that He would help you? How can you connect your emotions with your belief?
- What do you believe about your future? Review vs.13. What would your waking hours be like if you anticipated the goodness of God throughout your day? What would it take for you to live in the truth of this reality?
- Gather in smaller groups and pray for each other.
