Series: “Slow Down” – Part 4
Title: Slow down so God can speed up
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Be ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you…
Slowing down with our neighbors:
-
Helps us be intentional to living sent for God.
-
Helps us listen and hear what God is showing us.
-
Helps us plant seeds of hope that God will harvest.
-
Causes a multiplication of hope that spreads rapidly beyond us.
John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
The church is the people of God empowered by God to live sent.
1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
Ephesians 1:15-23

Share with each other what it has been like in these past months to connect and get to know your neighbors. What have you discovered? How have you seen God move through the connections? Have you been able to encourage anyone in Christ? If so, how?
-
Read 1 Peter 3:15. What is this passage saying to you? What hope does Jesus give you to share with others?
-
As believers in Jesus Christ, it is our natural calling to live sent. What does that mean to you on a daily basis? How does it affect what you anticipate through the day?
-
Read Ephesians 1:15-23. What are the gifts Paul speaks of that are given from God to you and me as the Church? How do these gifts encourage us to live sent? How does Paul describe the Church in this passage? Since you are the Church, how does this description empower your daily living?
-
