Title: The Blindness of Sin
Sin keeps us from fully realizing the beautiful life God desires for us on this earth. In the book of Romans, Paul shares clearly God’s plan to deal with our sin, help us to live in the beauty of His Grace, grow into the life He intends, and dive deeper into trust and faith that blesses not only ourselves, but each other and the world.
Personal notes on Paul’s life:

Title: The Blindness of Sin
Do a little internet research on the life of Paul in the New Testament. What amazes you most about Paul’s life?
What does it mean to have blind spots in judgement? Why do these occur? What can they cause? How can sin give us blind spots in our understanding of God and how He wants us to live?
Read Romans 1:1-15. What does Paul want these Christians to know? How are they beneficial to each other?
Read Romans 1:16-32. What does it mean for the righteous to live by faith? What does Paul want us to know about the condition of the human heart? Describe a life separate from God?
Read Romans 2: 1- 11. What is Paul saying about judgement? Why do you think we judge others when we ourselves also disobey God? What is the outcome of sin?
Read Romans 2:12-28. The law referred to in these passages is the guidance God gave to His people in the Old Testament so they would know how to obey God and do what is right. Why is it that we can know what is right but not do what is right?
Paul speaks about circumcision. Circumcision among God’s people of old was an outward sign of being a part of God’s family. Paul expresses that true circumcision is not a matter of the flesh, but rather a condition of the heart. A heart turned to God Is a true child of God. How does this passage speak about the struggle of this difference?
Read Romans 3:9-20. How do these conditions of sin relate to Christians and non-Christians today? Where and how do you see these happening? If we struggle so much in sin, what is God’s answer and solution?
