1 Corinthians 4:1-2 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

Title: Exploring Christian Leadership
* How does someone get your attention as a Christian leader? Do you tend to be more impressed by a person’s image or the evidence of personal integrity? Explain!
* What servant-leader for Christ has made the deepest impact on your life? Share with your family or group what that impact was. Take time to thank God for that person.
* Read 1 Corinthians 4:1-2. How is Paul defining a servant leader? What is important about these qualities?
* What kinds of things do you steward in life? Children? Money? House? Job? Christian Spirituality? What does it mean to be a servant of Jesus in this stewardship? Why does faithfulness matter?
* Read Matthew 25: 14-30. What are the key points Jesus is making in this passage? How is stewardship defined? How is faithfulness defined? How is servanthood defined? How does this passage relate to everything we have on earth and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit that Jesus has given to us? In what ways does this passage call you to shift or change something?
* Read Matthew 20: 25-28. How does Jesus describe the true characteristic of being a servant? What does this look like for us in the world? How would you define a servant-leader? How can this model be a successful pattern in our world? How did Jesus model this pattern?
* Read Deuteronomy 7:9. Share with your family/group how God has shown His faithfulness to you.
* What are the key points you want to remember from this lesson?
* Gather in prayer with and for each other.
