Title: Jesus – The True Bread for a Hungry Soul

· The Necessity of Spiritual Nourishment

John 6:27 Jesus says, “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life.”

· Jesus, the Source of Fulfillment

John 6:35 “Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

· Eternal Life Through the Bread of Heaven

John 6:51 “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

· Receiving the Bread of Life Daily

Just as we need to eat every day, we need to “consume” this Bread of Life daily, through prayer, worship, and immersing ourselves in God’s Word.

Title: Jesus – The True Bread for a Hungry Soul

* Read John 6:25-59. How are you intentionally seeking spiritual nourishment through Jesus, the Bread of Life, in your daily life? What does Jesus mean when He says, “I am the Bread of Life?” How does this metaphor challenge our understanding of what it means to rely on Jesus daily? What does this reveal about our spiritual dependence versus physical needs?

* Read John 6: 1-15 Feeding of the Five Thousand. How might the crowd’s reaction to the feeding reflect their misunderstanding of Jesus’ purpose? What does this connection teach us about God’s provision for both physical and spiritual needs?

* How can recognizing Jesus as the source of fulfillment change the way we approach life’s challenges or uncertainties? Are there areas in your life where you are trying to satisfy spiritual hunger with temporary “bread”? Are you prioritizing the temporary “food that spoils” or investing in the eternal nourishment that leads to a deeper relationship with God?

* What does it mean to never go hungry or never be thirsty spiritually? How does this promise of spiritual satisfaction affect your understanding of faith and trust in Jesus?

* What practices can help us continually experience this spiritual fulfillment in our daily walk with Christ?

* Gather together and pray for one another. Pray that this new series will help impact our lives and church.
