Title: A Moment of Devotion and Conviction
Life is a continuum filled with moments. Some moments, if we step into them, God provides opportunity to change everything.
Galatians 6:9 ESV “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Devotion and Conviction:
King Josiah! 640-609 BC (2 Kings 22-23 and 2 Chronicles 34-35)
What we learn from King Josiah:
∙ You don’t need a Godly upbringing to follow Jesus with devotion and conviction.
∙ You don’t need the wisdom of the ages to walk powerfully with God.
∙ You don’t need cultural or even family approval to do what is right before God.
∙ Devotion to God and the conviction to follow will lead us into God’s desired future.
How is my devotion to Jesus?
Mark 12:29-30 ESV Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
Luke 11:28 ESV But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
What does my devotion and conviction lead me to do?
