Series: Connection
Title: Connection to Each Other
Christians are not meant to live as islands in and of themselves, but to usher in God’s Kingdom reign into the lives of others.
CtK’s Mission is to connect all people with the life-giving message of Jesus as we experience God, find freedom, discover purpose and make a difference in our world.
The Church on mission:
Acts 2:42-47 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles
performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
Jesus on mission:
John 12:32-33 NLT And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw
everyone to myself.” 33 He said this to indicate how he was going to die.
John 10:9-10 NLT Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
Paul’s strategy for mission:
1 Corinthians 9:19-27

Series: Connection
Title: Connection to Each Other
* Share with each other what Jesus means to you. What difference does Jesus make in your life?
* The mission of Christ the King Church is: to connect all people with the life-giving message of Jesus as we experience God, find freedom, discover purpose and make a difference in our world. What does each of these aspects mean to you? Have each family member respond which and why. Why do you think God has you on the earth as a Christian?
* Read Acts 2:42-47. In what ways does this passage describe connection to each other? How does it describe connection to God? How does it show connection to the wider community? What excites you most about how God formed the church in the book of Acts? What of this would you like to see more of in your own church?
* Read John 12:32-33. How can you and your family lift up Jesus? What would this look like for you as you live for Him and share what He has done?
* Read 1 Corinthians 9:19-27. What is your strategy for reaching those who do not know Jesus? What inconveniences has this caused? What could you start doing to lift Jesus up to others? Why is Paul encouraging us to be focused? What is the prize?
* Gather with each other and pray for each other’s needs and opportunities to share Jesus.
