Title: Connection to Faith
Christians can have conversations of encouragement on many topics, but when we share faith in how we trust God and see His moves in our lives, we inspire and encourage spiritual maturity.
The sharing of faith is life-giving and powerful!
Romans 1:11-12 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— 12 that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.
Revelation 12:11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
Keys to sharing faith with others:
Know who you represent
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 – God making his appeal through us…
Be prepared
1 Peter 3:13-17 – always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you…
Don’t be ashamed
2 Timothy 1:8-10 – do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord…
Shine Jesus
Matthew 5: 14-16 -… let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven….
Tell of God’s goodness
Psalm 96:2-4 – …tell of his salvation from day to day….
Understand the urgency
Romans 6:23- For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Series: Connection
Title: Connection to Faith
Share with each other a time when you have been encouraged by the faith sharing of someone else. Why was it encouraging? Why did it help to know how God moved in their lives? If you have never heard someone share their faith, go to someone who follows Jesus and ask them to share why they have faith in God. Read Romans 1:11-12. Why does Paul describe faith sharing as a gift?
Read Hebrews 11:1. What is the writer wanting us to know in this passage? How is this passage true in your life? Share it with those around you.
Read Revelation 12:11. How can someone’s testimony help you overcome Satan’s lies?
Read Psalm 96:1-4. How can sharing the goodness of God bring encouragement to you and others? What could you do to make a practice of sharing the goodness of God at least once each day with your family?
Read 2 Timothy 1:8-14. For what reason does Paul say for us not to be ashamed? How does the world try to make you ashamed of following Jesus? How does that shame lead to suffering? What is the hope and promise shared in this passage? What does Paul want us to do?
Pray for each other and your daily needs. Pray for God to show you a faith testimony to share with others.
